LONDON's Global Ship Lease has chartered two of its vessels, one with to Maersk and the Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC), reports Singapore's Splash 247.
MSC is taking the 2,824-TEU GSL Valerie for 12 months at US$9,000 per day while Maersk has chartered the 5,095-TEU Orca I for 12-14 months at $9,000 per diem and $10,000 per day thereafter.
Said GSL chief executive Ian Webber: "We're pleased to have secured these new charters with top-tier counterparties. Our ability to achieve full fleet employment supports our efforts to unlock shareholder value."
